21st Century Community Learning Center Program Staff

Mrs. Kaye Vicente-Gilchrist

Hello everyone!! I have been teaching for 8 years and regardless of what subject or grade I’m teaching my goal is to engage students in learning and enjoy the learning process. This is my first year with Gapbusters and I’m ready to find some new and exciting ways to facilitate learning.

Dr. Ella P. Roman

Blessings to all!! Currently the teaching of 6th grade students math, is my passion. While adapting to teaching students online, at this stage of their academic, teaching and learning online is not new to me. What is new is helping the students to understand that despite the environment learning is occuring (online or in the classroom), they are able to learn and retain, if they desire to. Keeping them engaged during times such as this is most rewarding when you see them take ownership of their learning in such times as this.

Ms. Annyce Dey

I have been teaching for 18 years. I am a graduate of Prince George’s County Public Schools. I am currently the Title Coordinator and 1:1 Lead at Nicholas Orem Middle School.

Maya Brown

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of being a teacher – there was always something magical and alluring about molding young minds, plus you get to write on the whiteboard all day! My mother was a teacher, and inspired me to become a teacher as well. I began teaching 9th and 11th grade students in Carroll County before moving to Prince George’s County where I started with 7th grade and moved over to 8th. In total, I’ve been in the classroom for 9 years and have loved every minute of it. Even though I am new to GapBusters, I can already tell that it’s a wonderful enrichment program!
