GLENISE MBAH
ALUMNI
GapBuster has had a long-lasting impact on my life. This organization exposed me to the many resources that are available for today’s youth. Through GapBuster, I was able to participate in many college tours which gave me the opportunity to travel internationally. These college tours also gave me the opportunity to socialize with my peers while preparing for my college journey. Of the many activities I participated in, I am also grateful for being a part of the HIV awareness team. Being able to educate other youths about HIV prevention was a wonderful opportunity to promote healthcare resources especially among people of color.
I attended Salisbury University (SU) in January of 2014 and graduated there with my BSN in May of 2017. I spent my first year as a new grad nurse at George Washington University Hospital where I worked as a mother and baby nurse. I returned to SU in August 2018 for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. I am now in my third year in this program, and I currently work as a medical-surgical nurse at Tidalhealth Peninsula Regional. In May of 2022 I plan to graduate with my DNP and work as a family nurse practitioner.
I am interested in learning more about the Alumni Association and what it has to offer.
