MBA, MSc, CISM – Director of IT at UMD Medical System. Kwadwo Buachie has over 20 years in information technology and over 10 years as Chief Information Security Officer in the healthcare industry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Masters in Information Technology – Information Assurance from the University of Maryland and MBA from the University of Maryland. Mr. Buachie has participated as an advisor in numerous industry think-tank and thought leader exercises that have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from across the country and overseason current challenges and solutions as it relates to cybersecurity.

Mr. Buachie has developed a security risk management program from the ground up for two healthcare systems that ensure strategic alignment between business objectives and information security initiatives and provided direction for security based on the organizational security pressure posture.
