REBKHA ATNAFOU-BOYER, MPH

Rebkha Atnafou-Boyer, MPH, Founder & CEO, RnD Associates Inc, LLC, and Research Associate, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Rebkha launched RnD Associates in 2018, a capacity-building organization providing a variety of training, community asset and needs assessment, program evaluation, conference organizing and intercontinental collaboration between Africa and the US.   In addition, she is a Research Associate, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the PI on a study on applying narrative theory to promote cancer screening, is the Director of the Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program, an intensive leadership fellowship and mentoring program at JHU Urban Health Institute.  She further applies her passion for mentoring students as a faculty adviser to Africa Business Club at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.  She has a diverse professional experience in leadership development, systems design, adolescent health and development, sexual health and building quality systems that promote health. Her expertise is broad with specialties that encompass the promotion of health, gender equity, sexual health, illuminating sociocultural barriers to cancer prevention, youth development, and afterschool quality systems. She serves on the board of Omarichet Space, Kenya,  and Seeka University, Ivory Coast, and GapBusters inc, Maryland and Ghana.  Rebkha has a bachelors degree in biology from Binghamton University and a masters in public health from Columbia University.  She is  a wife, and a proud mother of two men and has acquired two daughters through marriage to form a beautiful, blended family.
